Required Skills and Tools
You should be comfortable drafting platform-native captions, editing short vertical videos, and organizing a weekly publishing plan. Familiarity with Canva or Adobe Express for quick graphics, CapCut or Adobe Premiere Rush for simple edits, and scheduling tools such as Later, Buffer, or Hootsuite will be helpful. A basic understanding of analytics through platform insights or Sprout Social, plus Google Workspace proficiency, is expected.
Project Description
The coordinator will support our brand storytelling by converting product education, customer testimonials, and seasonal campaigns into engaging social content. The objective is to grow top-of-funnel reach, improve save and share rates, and maintain an authentic voice that reflects our commitment to plant-derived skincare and sustainable packaging.
Core Responsibilities and Expected Deliverables
Draft three to five captions per day across Instagram, TikTok, and LinkedIn, tailored to each platformβs tone and best practices.
Edit five to eight short videos per week using provided footage or simple phone captures.
Build and maintain a two-week rolling content calendar in Notion, aligned to product drops and partnerships.
Publish or schedule posts, tag products via Meta tools where applicable, and ensure accurate link tracking with UTM parameters.
Monitor comments and messages twice daily, escalating product or service questions to our support team.
Report weekly on performance with key metrics such as reach, saves, shares, and watch-through rates, plus one insight and one experiment for the coming week.
Coordinate with the brand lead and a freelance designer to source visuals, product swatches, and usage shots in line with brand guidelines.
Required Experience and Preferred Qualifications
Demonstrated familiarity with social platforms through internships, freelance work, campus media, or a personal creator portfolio.
Strong written English and a concise visual storytelling style; a passion for skincare or wellness is a plus.
Comfort filming or directing simple phone-based content.
Preferred but not required: exposure to GA4, Sprout Social, influencer briefs, or basic content rights management.
Tools or Platforms to Be Used
Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, Meta Business Suite, Later or Buffer for scheduling, Canva or Adobe Express for graphics, CapCut or Premiere Rush for video, Notion for planning, Google Drive for asset management, and Sprout Social for reporting.
Language Requirement
English is required. Additional proficiency in Spanish or French is a plus for occasional localized captions.
Communication Style
We collaborate primarily through Slack and email, with one thirty-minute Zoom stand-up each week and quick async Loom updates as needed.
Time Commitment or Working Window
Approximately 30β35 hours per week. Core collaboration window is 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Eastern Time, Monday through Friday, with the remainder of hours flexible.
Payment Terms
Hourly engagement with biweekly invoices. Approved out-of-pocket expenses related to content creation will be reimbursed with prior written approval.
Evaluation Criteria
Shortlisted candidates will be assessed on portfolio quality, clarity of writing, grasp of platform trends, and ability to propose simple experiments that ladder up to brand goals. Finalists may complete a paid take-home brief that includes a one-week micro calendar with three caption options and a 15-second sample edit.
Other Requirements
A mutual nondisclosure agreement and basic brand-asset usage guidelines will be required. Light time tracking through Harvest may be requested. Reliable internet and a mobile device capable of high-quality video capture are essential.
