Project Description
The Game Developer will help design and implement core features for upcoming game titles, ranging from puzzle-based adventures to multiplayer online experiences. The position plays a key role in building immersive gameplay environments and optimizing performance for cross-platform releases.
Core Responsibilities and Expected Deliverables
Responsibilities include developing game mechanics, collaborating with designers and artists to integrate assets, testing and debugging gameplay features, and ensuring smooth performance across platforms. Deliverables include functional prototypes, production-ready gameplay features, and contributions to release builds.
Required Experience and Preferred Qualifications
A bachelorโs degree in computer science, software engineering, or game design is preferred, though strong project portfolios or indie development experience may also qualify. Knowledge of graphics programming, AI for games, or multiplayer networking will be considered an advantage.
Tools or Platforms to Be Used
Unity, Unreal Engine, Visual Studio, GitHub, Blender or Maya for asset integration, and Jira for project tracking.
Language Requirement
English fluency is required for effective communication across international teams.
Communication Style
The team uses Slack for daily messaging, Zoom for sprint meetings, and Trello or Jira for task management.
Time Commitment or Working Window
40 hours per week, with flexibility in working hours but overlap with core studio hours in PST.
