Project Description
The IoT Engineer will work on designing and implementing connected systems that integrate hardware, software, and cloud services. The role includes developing secure communication between devices, ensuring real-time data flow, and building scalable architectures that can serve both enterprise and consumer needs.
Core Responsibilities and Expected Deliverables
Responsibilities include designing IoT system architectures, coding device firmware, integrating with cloud platforms, and performing system-level testing. Deliverables will include functional IoT solutions, integration documentation, and production-ready deployments.
Required Experience and Preferred Qualifications
A bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or computer science is preferred. Previous experience with IoT projects, either academic or professional, will be highly regarded. Knowledge of cybersecurity for IoT devices and experience with mobile or web dashboards is a plus.
Tools or Platforms to Be Used
AWS IoT Core, Azure IoT Hub, Google Cloud IoT, Raspberry Pi, Arduino, ESP32, Python, C, Node.js, and Git.
Language Requirement
English fluency is required for collaboration and documentation. Additional language skills are welcome but not mandatory.
Communication Style
The team collaborates using Slack for daily communication, Jira for project management, and Zoom for weekly sprint reviews and stand-ups.
Time Commitment or Working Window
40 hours per week with at least three overlapping hours with Central Time to ensure smooth collaboration.

Employees will be paid monthly with annual performance-based bonuses.
