Project Description
The Build and Release Engineer will play a key role in ensuring smooth and reliable software delivery across the companyβs product lines. This involves designing, maintaining, and improving CI/CD pipelines, managing build systems, and working closely with developers to guarantee efficient and reliable releases.
Core Responsibilities and Expected Deliverables
The engineer will be responsible for automating builds, maintaining release schedules, troubleshooting deployment issues, and optimizing performance in the delivery process. Deliverables include consistent, reliable releases and well-documented pipelines that reduce downtime and improve collaboration between development and operations.
Required Experience and Preferred Qualifications
A background in software engineering or computer science is preferred, with at least one year of relevant experience in DevOps or release management. Certifications in AWS, Azure, or CI/CD tools are a plus. Entry-level candidates with strong academic projects or internships in these areas will also be considered.
Tools or Platforms to Be Used
The role requires the use of GitHub, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud infrastructure platforms such as AWS or Azure. Jira and Confluence will be used for project tracking and documentation.
Language Requirement
English is required for both written and verbal communication.
Communication Style
The team primarily uses Slack and Zoom for real-time communication and email for formal updates.
Time Commitment or Working Window
40 hours per week, with flexible scheduling. A few hours of overlap with US working hours are preferred for collaboration.
