Project Description
The Mobile App Tester will work closely with the development and QA teams to validate features, test new releases, and ensure that Orion Digital Labs’ applications meet quality standards before deployment. This includes functional testing, usability testing, regression testing, and performance assessments across devices.
Core Responsibilities and Expected Deliverables
The tester will design and execute test cases, document findings, and report bugs clearly using issue-tracking tools like Jira or Trello. Deliverables include comprehensive bug reports, feedback on usability, and confirmation that features meet user requirements and business objectives.
Required Experience and Preferred Qualifications
A degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory. Previous internship or project experience in software or app testing is an advantage. Certifications such as ISTQB are desirable but not essential.
Tools or Platforms to Be Used
Testing will involve mobile devices, emulators, and tools such as Appium, Jira, TestFlight, Firebase Test Lab, and BrowserStack.
Language Requirement
English proficiency is required for both written and verbal communication. Additional languages are a plus but not mandatory.
Communication Style
Collaboration will occur through Slack for daily updates, email for formal documentation, and Zoom for meetings and walkthroughs.
Time Commitment or Working Window
The role requires 20–30 hours per week, with flexible scheduling but some availability during core business hours for synchronous meetings.
Payment Terms
Hourly payments made weekly upon approval of submitted timesheets and deliverables.
Evaluation Criteria
