Project Description
This role focuses on building robust data pipelines and integrating diverse data sources into scalable systems that power analytics and reporting. The Data Engineer will play a key role in enabling machine learning initiatives, business intelligence dashboards, and financial planning models by ensuring high-quality and reliable data is available across the organization.
Core Responsibilities and Expected Deliverables
The Data Engineer will design and optimize ETL workflows, ensure data quality through validation checks, and collaborate with analysts and data scientists to define data requirements. Deliverables will include scalable pipelines, automated data transformations, and documented infrastructure that supports rapid business insights.
Required Experience and Preferred Qualifications
A bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field is required. Candidates should demonstrate prior experience or internship work in database management and ETL development. Certifications in cloud data services or prior experience in big data ecosystems such as Hadoop or Spark are advantageous.
Tools or Platforms to Be Used
SQL, Python, Airflow, dbt, Docker, and Git for version control. Cloud-based tools such as AWS Redshift, GCP BigQuery, or Azure Data Lake will form part of the core technology stack.
Language Requirement
English proficiency is required for both verbal and written communication.
Communication Style
Day-to-day communication will be conducted through Slack and Zoom, with Jira used for project management and email for formal documentation and reporting.
Time Commitment or Working Window
The role requires a 40-hour work week, with flexibility on working hours as long as overlap with team collaboration windows is maintained.
