Project Description
The role involves testing mobile applications under development to ensure they meet quality benchmarks before release. Testers will identify bugs, usability issues, and performance challenges, ensuring apps work seamlessly across devices and operating systems.
Core Responsibilities and Expected Deliverables
The tester will be responsible for writing and executing test cases, documenting issues, and providing detailed feedback to developers. Deliverables include complete test reports, reproducible bug logs, and final approval documentation for app releases.
Required Experience and Preferred Qualifications
No prior experience is strictly required, though familiarity with mobile testing tools such as Appium, TestRail, or JIRA is preferred. A background in computer science, information technology, or related fields will be considered an advantage.
Tools or Platforms to Be Used
Candidates will use bug-tracking software such as JIRA, communication tools like Slack and Zoom, and mobile testing environments covering both Android Studio and Xcode simulators.
Language Requirement
Fluency in English is required, both written and spoken, for effective communication with the project team.
Communication Style
Daily updates will be expected via Slack, with weekly meetings conducted through Zoom or Google Meet. Email will be used for formal documentation.
Time Commitment or Working Window
Approximately 20β25 hours per week, with flexible scheduling, provided core hours overlap with the main project teamβs working day in GMT+0.
Payment Terms
Weekly payments based on hours worked. Additional bonuses may be provided for meeting or exceeding quality benchmarks.
Evaluation Criteria
Candidates will be assessed on accuracy in bug reporting, attention to detail, communication reliability, and ability to meet deadlines consistently.
Other Requirements
Selected testers may be asked to sign an NDA to protect client intellectual property. Use of a time-tracking tool such as Hubstaff or Clockify may be required.
