Project Description
The Data Engineer will focus on creating reliable and efficient data pipelines that connect multiple systems, transform raw data, and deliver clean, structured information to analysts and business stakeholders. The purpose of the role is to ensure data integrity and availability for decision-making across the organization.
Core Responsibilities and Expected Deliverables
Responsibilities include designing and maintaining ETL workflows, monitoring data pipelines for accuracy and performance, and ensuring data models support analytics and reporting needs. Deliverables will consist of robust, well-documented pipelines, dashboards tracking pipeline performance, and timely resolution of data issues.
Required Experience and Preferred Qualifications
A bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field is required. Previous internships, projects, or coursework in data engineering, databases, or cloud technologies are desirable. Preferred qualifications include exposure to containerization tools like Docker and orchestration systems like Airflow or Kubernetes.
Tools or Platforms to Be Used
SQL, Python, Apache Spark, Hadoop, Airflow, Docker, and cloud-based tools including AWS Redshift, Snowflake, or Google BigQuery.
Language Requirement
Fluency in English is mandatory.
Communication Style
Daily communication will take place via Slack and Zoom, with formal documentation and reporting managed by email.
Time Commitment or Working Window
40 hours per week, with flexible scheduling. Core collaboration expected between 10:00 and 15:00 EST.
Payment Terms
Fixed monthly salary with performance reviews conducted annually.
