Project Description
The Software Engineer will play an integral role in the development of scalable applications that power NovaEdge Systems’ client solutions. This role focuses on creating efficient, reliable, and user-friendly software systems that can handle complex data-driven processes while delivering smooth user experiences.
Core Responsibilities and Expected Deliverables
The engineer will be responsible for writing clean, maintainable code, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and deploying software updates. Expected deliverables include fully tested application features, technical documentation, and timely bug fixes.
Required Experience and Preferred Qualifications
A bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field is required. Entry-level candidates with internship or project experience are welcome. Preferred qualifications include experience with cloud environments such as AWS or Azure and knowledge of Agile methodologies.
Tools or Platforms to Be Used
Daily work will involve GitHub, Jira for project tracking, Slack for communication, and Zoom for team meetings.
Language Requirement
Fluent English is required, both written and spoken. Additional languages are a plus but not mandatory.
Communication Style
Collaboration will primarily occur via Slack, Zoom calls, and email updates.
Time Commitment or Working Window
Full-time, approximately 40 hours per week, with some flexibility. Overlap of at least 4 hours with Eastern Standard Time is preferred.
Payment Terms
Fixed monthly salary.
Evaluation Criteria
Applicants will be evaluated based on their coding assessments, portfolio of past work, communication skills, and cultural fit with the company.
Other Requirements
An NDA will be required before onboarding. Time-tracking software may be used to ensure accountability during working hours.
