Project Description
The Unity Developer will be responsible for building engaging and technically sound digital products, including mobile and PC games, VR experiences, and interactive applications. This role supports both creative design and technical implementation, ensuring smooth performance and engaging user experiences.
Core Responsibilities and Expected Deliverables
Responsibilities include coding game mechanics, implementing UI and animations, collaborating with artists and designers, debugging performance issues, and ensuring deployment across multiple platforms. Deliverables will include completed game features, performance-optimized builds, and project documentation.
Required Experience and Preferred Qualifications
Candidates with coursework or internships in computer science, game design, or related fields are strongly encouraged to apply. Preferred qualifications include a degree in Computer Science or Game Development, plus portfolio examples showcasing Unity projects. Certifications in Unity or C# are a plus.
Tools or Platforms to Be Used
Unity 3D, Visual Studio, GitHub or Bitbucket, Jira or Trello, and communication tools such as Slack and Zoom.
Language Requirement
English is required. Additional language proficiency is considered advantageous for international projects.
Communication Style
Team communication will primarily occur through Slack and Zoom, with regular sprint meetings and progress check-ins.
Time Commitment or Working Window
Expected workload is 40 hours per week, with flexibility for time zone adjustments. Core collaboration hours are between 10 AM and 4 PM Central Time.
Payment Terms
Fixed monthly salary with performance reviews every six months.
Evaluation Criteria
Candidates will be assessed on technical ability, problem-solving skills, creativity, and communication. Portfolio quality and ability to work collaboratively will be key evaluation points.
Other Requirements
Developers must be open to signing an NDA and working with time-tracking tools as part of project accountability.
