Project Description
The Community Engagement Specialist will focus on cultivating trust and loyalty within Horizon Connectiveβs digital ecosystem. The role involves managing member communications, responding to inquiries, organizing events, and supporting engagement strategies that encourage participation and inclusivity.
Core Responsibilities and Expected Deliverables
Key responsibilities include moderating online spaces, hosting virtual events, crafting engaging content for community platforms, gathering feedback, and reporting on engagement metrics. Deliverables will include monthly engagement reports, improved member satisfaction, and measurable increases in participation rates.
Required Experience and Preferred Qualifications
Strong candidates may have backgrounds in communications, marketing, or customer success. Prior experience in digital community management or nonprofit engagement is preferred but not mandatory. A bachelorβs degree in communications, marketing, or related fields is beneficial but not required if candidates demonstrate relevant skills.
Tools or Platforms to Be Used
Work will involve using Slack, Discord, Zoom, and community engagement software such as Hivebrite. Google Workspace and project tracking tools like Trello or Asana will also be used.
Language Requirement
English fluency is required. Additional language skills will be considered an asset for supporting international members.
Communication Style
The team prefers open communication through Slack for daily updates, Zoom for meetings, and email for formal correspondence.
Time Commitment or Working Window
This role requires approximately 35β40 hours per week, with flexibility for occasional evening or weekend events to accommodate community activities.
