Project Description
The Build and Release Engineer will play a key role in managing and improving the release management lifecycle. This includes building automation tools, streamlining processes, and ensuring product updates are delivered efficiently and reliably. The purpose of the role is to maintain robust systems that guarantee the companyβs SaaS products are deployed consistently across environments.
Core Responsibilities and Expected Deliverables
The engineer will manage build pipelines, create and maintain release processes, and collaborate with developers to ensure successful software delivery. Responsibilities include improving automation scripts, troubleshooting build failures, and documenting release processes. Deliverables will consist of reliable builds, streamlined pipelines, and smooth production deployments.
Required Experience and Preferred Qualifications
Candidates with a background in software development, DevOps, or system administration are ideal. While freshers with strong technical skills and eagerness to learn are welcome, prior experience in release engineering or continuous delivery pipelines will be advantageous. Certifications in DevOps or cloud technologies will be considered a plus.
Tools or Platforms to Be Used
Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, and Git.
Language Requirement
Fluent English is required for both written and verbal communication.
Communication Style
Collaboration primarily through email, Slack, and Zoom. Regular stand-ups and sprint reviews will be expected.
Time Commitment or Working Window
40 hours per week with flexibility in schedule, provided there is overlap with U.S. business hours for meetings and deliverables.
Payment Terms
Fixed annual salary, paid monthly.
