The salary for this role ranges between $65,000 and $85,000 annually, depending on skills and experience. Payment will be made on a monthly basis, with performance-based bonuses available.
Required Skills and Tools
The role requires familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, as well as knowledge of containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes. Candidates should be comfortable with scripting in Python or Bash, and have a foundational understanding of networking, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently are essential.
Job Details
The Cloud Engineer will be responsible for supporting the development and deployment of cloud-based solutions that enhance operational efficiency and client satisfaction. This includes assisting in the setup of secure environments, automating infrastructure processes, and optimizing cloud resources for scalability and performance.
Key responsibilities will involve monitoring systems, troubleshooting issues, and implementing solutions to maintain system reliability. Deliverables include well-documented deployment processes, tested configurations, and continuous support for development teams.
Candidates should ideally have academic or professional experience with at least one major cloud provider. A bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory if equivalent skills can be demonstrated. Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate or Microsoft Azure Administrator are considered a plus.
Communication will be primarily through Slack, Zoom, and email. The expected workload is approximately 35–40 hours per week, with flexible scheduling to accommodate different time zones.
Payment terms will be monthly, with opportunities for milestone-based bonuses depending on project success. Candidates will be evaluated on technical proficiency, problem-solving ability, communication skills, and overall contribution to team success. Additional requirements include adherence to company security policies and signing an NDA.
