Project Description
The Cloud Engineer will help SkySphere Technologies maintain and scale its existing cloud infrastructure while supporting new deployments. This role ensures high availability, security, and performance of systems critical to delivering digital services to clients across multiple industries.
Core Responsibilities and Expected Deliverables
The engineer will be responsible for configuring and optimizing cloud resources, implementing infrastructure as code, monitoring system performance, and responding to incidents. Deliverables include well-documented deployments, efficient resource utilization, and reliable support for ongoing operations.
Required Experience and Preferred Qualifications
A bachelorβs degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field is preferred but not required if candidates can demonstrate equivalent practical knowledge. Certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect or Microsoft Azure Fundamentals are a plus. Prior internships, freelance projects, or coursework in cloud environments will be considered positively.
Tools or Platforms to Be Used
AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, along with Docker, Kubernetes, GitHub Actions or Jenkins, and Terraform or Ansible.
Language Requirement
English proficiency is required. Additional language skills are considered an asset for collaborating with global teams.
Communication Style
Collaboration will take place through email, Slack, and Zoom. Clear documentation and responsiveness to team queries are expected.
Time Commitment or Working Window
Approximately 35 to 40 hours per week with flexibility, but some overlap with core business hours in the U.S. or Europe is necessary.
Payment Terms
Fixed monthly salary with annual performance-based reviews.
