Project Description
The Data Architect will define the structure of enterprise databases, oversee data flows between systems, and ensure solutions are aligned with business needs. The role is central to enabling reliable data access for analysts, engineers, and decision-makers.
Core Responsibilities and Expected Deliverables
Key responsibilities include creating and maintaining data architecture blueprints, managing metadata, ensuring compliance with security standards, and integrating new technologies into existing systems. Deliverables will consist of data models, technical documentation, and optimized data frameworks that support business intelligence and reporting functions.
Required Experience and Preferred Qualifications
A bachelorβs degree in computer science, information systems, or a related discipline is required. Previous internships, academic projects, or professional experience in database management will be valuable. Preferred qualifications include certifications in cloud platforms and familiarity with advanced data governance practices.
Tools or Platforms to Be Used
SQL and NoSQL databases, AWS Redshift, Azure Synapse, Google BigQuery, and data modeling tools such as ER/Studio or Lucidchart.
Language Requirement
English fluency is required. Additional languages are a plus but not mandatory.
Communication Style
Collaboration will occur primarily via Slack and Zoom, with formal updates delivered by email.
Time Commitment or Working Window
40 hours per week, with collaboration during core hours between 9:00 and 14:00 GMT.
Payment Terms
Fixed monthly salary with annual performance-based bonuses.
Evaluation Criteria
Candidates will be evaluated on their technical expertise, problem-solving ability, understanding of data security, and communication skills. A technical interview and architecture case study will form part of the selection process.
