Project Description:
The IoT Engineer will play a central role in developing smart device solutions that improve connectivity and automation across various applications, including smart homes, industrial systems, and wearable devices. The purpose of this role is to enhance the reliability, performance, and scalability of IoT solutions delivered to clients worldwide.
Core Responsibilities and Expected Deliverables:
The selected candidate will work on designing IoT device firmware, integrating hardware components, and creating efficient communication protocols. Deliverables include the development of prototypes, integration with cloud services, documentation, and regular updates on project milestones.
Required Experience and Preferred Qualifications:
While professional experience is not mandatory, candidates should demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, a portfolio of personal or academic IoT projects, and knowledge of embedded systems. A bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, electrical engineering, or a related field is preferred. Certifications in IoT development or cloud services will be an advantage.
Tools or Platforms to Be Used:
Microcontroller platforms such as Arduino and ESP32, cloud platforms like AWS IoT Core, Azure IoT Hub, or Google Cloud IoT, and collaboration tools including GitHub, Jira, and Slack.
Language Requirement:
English proficiency is required, both written and spoken, as it will be the primary communication medium.
Communication Style:
The team collaborates primarily through Slack for daily communication, email for formal updates, and Zoom for weekly project reviews.
Time Commitment or Working Window:
Approximately 35 to 40 hours per week, with flexible scheduling. Candidates must be available for at least 3 hours of overlap with CET or EST time zones.
Payment Terms:
Monthly salary paid on the last business day of each month.
Evaluation Criteria:
Candidates will be assessed based on technical proficiency, problem-solving skills, communication ability, and their capacity to work independently while contributing to a team. Shortlisted applicants may be asked to complete a small coding challenge or IoT project demonstration.
