Project Description
The Platform Engineer will be responsible for creating and maintaining infrastructure that supports scalable and resilient software solutions. The role involves automating deployments, managing cloud resources, and ensuring system performance and security.
Core Responsibilities and Expected Deliverables
Key responsibilities include building infrastructure pipelines, managing containerized applications, automating deployments, and monitoring performance. Deliverables will include stable infrastructure platforms, optimized CI/CD processes, and clear technical documentation.
Required Experience and Preferred Qualifications
A bachelorβs degree in computer science, information systems, or related fields is preferred. Candidates with certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect or Certified Kubernetes Administrator will have an advantage. Experience in DevOps environments is strongly preferred.
Tools or Platforms to Be Used
AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Prometheus, and Grafana.
Language Requirement
English proficiency is required for technical documentation and team communication.
Communication Style
The team communicates primarily through Slack for daily interactions, Jira for sprint planning and tracking, and Zoom for weekly status meetings and client updates.
Time Commitment or Working Window
40 hours per week, with flexibility, but at least three hours of overlap with Pacific Time is required.
