Job Details
The QA Tester will be responsible for testing web and mobile applications to ensure they meet business requirements and quality standards. This includes creating detailed test plans, performing regression and exploratory testing, documenting results, and reporting issues in a clear and structured manner. The tester will collaborate with development teams to verify bug fixes and enhancements while ensuring overall software stability before release.
Core responsibilities will include analyzing user stories and requirements, preparing and executing test cases, identifying defects, and providing recommendations for improvements. Deliverables include comprehensive defect reports, test documentation, and validated builds ready for production release.
The ideal candidate will have at least some practical experience in testing, whether through internships, academic projects, or professional roles. A degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory. Candidates who hold certifications such as ISTQB or similar will be given added consideration.
Proficiency with platforms like Jira for issue tracking, TestRail for test case management, and basic knowledge of APIs tested via Postman will be part of day-to-day tasks. Familiarity with version control systems such as Git and basic SQL queries will also be useful.
English fluency is required, both written and spoken, as communication with international teams is essential. Regular updates will be conducted through Slack and Zoom, while email will serve as the primary channel for formal reporting.
The position requires a time commitment of approximately 35–40 hours per week, with flexibility for candidates to manage their schedule while attending overlapping hours for collaboration.
Payment will be structured as a monthly salary, though candidates working on shorter-term assignments may be compensated per milestone. Performance will be evaluated based on the accuracy of testing, quality of defect reports, responsiveness, and collaboration effectiveness.
Additional requirements include adherence to company NDAs, use of time-tracking tools like Hubstaff or Toggl when required, and ensuring availability during overlapping team communication windows.
