Project Description
The QA Tester will contribute to testing initiatives for multiple mobile and web applications under development. The purpose of this role is to identify and document bugs, verify fixes, and ensure features function as intended before deployment.
Responsibilities
The tester will be responsible for executing test cases, reporting defects, collaborating with developers on bug resolution, and verifying system performance across platforms. Deliverables include detailed bug reports, regression test results, and testing documentation.
Experience and Qualifications
Applicants with prior experience in manual or automated testing will be highly regarded, though this is not a strict requirement. A background in computer science or software engineering is preferred, but candidates with strong problem-solving and communication skills will also be considered. Certifications such as ISTQB Foundation Level will be an added advantage.
Tools and Platforms
The work will involve using platforms such as Jira, TestRail, Selenium, and browser/device emulators. Training and onboarding support will be provided to junior testers.
Language Requirement
Fluency in English is required for documentation and team communication.
Communication Style
The team communicates primarily via Slack, email, and scheduled Zoom calls. Regular updates and clear bug reporting are expected.
Time Commitment
The expected workload is 25 to 30 hours per week, with flexible scheduling. Candidates must attend a weekly stand-up meeting with the QA and development teams.
Payment Terms
The role is hourly, with payment processed every two weeks following timesheet approval.
Evaluation Criteria
Candidates will be assessed on their ability to produce accurate test results, quality of bug documentation, responsiveness to communication, and consistency in meeting deadlines.
Other Requirements
An NDA must be signed prior to the commencement of work. Candidates may be required to log working hours through a time-tracking tool.
